After more than a decade of organising private small-batch tours, 88 Destinations know what travellers want. Each 88 Destinations experience is off the beaten track and unique in its own way. Tours are categorised under four types: Adventure, Education, Volunteer and Leisure. Each type has its own features and caters to specific types of travellers. You could be skiing in the icy Alps, volunteering for child education in a remote village in India, learning Tibetan history and culture in West China or relaxing in over-water bungalows in the Maldives.

The tour groups are large enough to keep you engaged but small enough to allow you to discover freely without feeling intruded upon. Your local guide will take you beyond the travel guidebooks and immerse you in the history, culture, and language of your destination.

88 Destinations put their years of expertise and experience to good use, designing a journey that is perfect for your travel style; one that’s full of excitement and wonder, a journey that is authentic, seamless and beyond your expectations.

The Opportunity

88 Destinations needed a brand-new site that would be responsive, with a clear message of what type of tours they offered and the flexibility to support them.

They needed two versions of the site, focusing on different markets; so a creation of a multi-lingual website for the English and Arabic market was needed.

The Detail

As part of the Design process, wire frames and visuals were created and refined, and ideas for the home page were produced. The existing logo was also tidied up to help make it clearer. Additionally, there were design considerations for the site to work well both left to right and right to left for the Arabic site.

The tools within WTP allow for easily manageable content updates for the site, such as the ability to set departure dates, the number of available places, and the price per passenger on each tour.

WTP allows 88 Destinations to generate a URL specific to the customer that allows them to log into to their personalised "My Booking" section, which contains details about their tour, and also allows them to pay any outstanding balance.

The focal point of 88 Destinations’ brand is their tours and WTP enables them to really showcase these; with content fields such as description, title, headline as well as bullet lists, prices and image galleries. WTP provides 88 Destinations the ability to create multiple templates and different views of the tour which then display across the site, such as tour listings, search results, full tour details and the summary on the booking screen. 88 Destinations only need to input this content once, in one section of WTP, and it appears across the website, the content tailored depending on which page the customer is viewing.

WTP enables 88 Destinations to make changes to their content pages inline and so see their changes in real time display exactly as they will be when the content change is made live to customers. With WTP what you see really is actually what you get! The WTP site is also integrated with Google maps, so 88 Destinations can show customers where each leg of their tour will take them.
