he Travel Weekly Globe Awards, considered the biggest night in the travel industry calendar, took place recently at the luxurious Grosvenor House Hotel in London. As proud sponsors of the “On the Water” category, Zolv celebrated P&O Ferries, Viking River Cruises, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean International and Silversea as winners.
Over the last 6 months our visual conversation product Full Picture has been loaded with cruise content for over 33 ocean and river cruises lines, providing the cruise lines and their agents with a sales tool through peak that is converting calls at 30%. Having worked closely with a huge number of companies across the cruise space to make this happen, sponsoring this section of the Globes seemed fitting, a chance to celebrate the success of friends.
On the night our Managing Director, Olly Wenn had the pleasure of joining the fantastic comedian Jack Whitehall on stage who was on hand to help Olly with his presenting duties.
Olly said “Sponsoring the “On the Water” category was a perfect fit for us after recent months of working with all the main cruise and ferry companies with Full Picture.” He further added “The cruise industry is going through a boom period at the moment and we were excited to play a part not just in the category but in the whole evening which celebrated a whole host of achievements throughout the industry”
It was a fabulous evening for Zolv clients too, with some fantastic nominations including Virgin Holidays, Norwegian Cruise Line and Monarch. Virgin Holidays took home the “Favourite Long Haul Operator Award” which was voted by the public. A huge accolade and very much deserved after another fantastic award winning year for them. Mr Noel Josephides was presented with the richly deserved “Outstanding Achievement Award”. We are thrilled for Noel who has been a leading figure in the industry for more than 40 years and is currently ABTA Chairman and Chairman of Sunvil, a company we have enjoyed being a partner to for over 4 years.
The Zolv team thoroughly enjoyed the night and would like to say a huge congratulations to all the winners who took home a fabulous Globe.
