Intro

A complete brand relaunch in 2007 saw Teletext raising its profile with adverts promising customers "no blah blah". For the website the rebranding meant more than just a new coat of pixels.

Zolv had already been approached by Teletext to redesign the Teletext Holidays website and were asked to incorporate the rebrand into the project. Zolv's Agile approach to web development meant that the rebranding requirement was easily incorporated without jeopardising the delivery of project as a whole.

The Brief

The website was to be completely redesigned and rebuilt in line with the new Teletext group brand style and values. The overhaul of the website needed to provide a more effective and flexible way for Teletext to manage merchandise, with complete real time control over the online content.

Teletext's clients would be presented with more merchandising opportunities, and a flexible system that allowed them to precisely target offers. For the consumer, the redesign would mean a contemporary, always-up-to-date site, providing easier navigation and a more structured organisation to help them find relevant offers and opportunities.

User Assistance

The sheer number of offers available on Teletext Holidays can make it hard for users to find the right holiday. Zolv introduced a number of triggers to the search process to give the user improved results:

  • Contextual messages guide the user through the search process
  • Refining options are presented when large numbers of results are returned
  • Unsuccessful searches present options to broaden the search
  • An AJAX enabled filter panel gives options for refining search results further
Dynamic Content Management

Teletext Holidays required a system to help them accurately target content and advertisements across the website. Zolv analysed their business processes and created a bespoke CMS which enables:

  • Management of various content types
  • Content to be scheduled by time, date and a number of other configurable conditions
  • Customisation and scalability
  • Real time response to opportunities and market conditions with targeted offers.
