Web Developer

ZOLV Web Developer - C# and ASP.NET

To support our continuing growth we now need to hire a Developer. This role will involve working with new and existing clients to develop their online capabilities. You will take part in all aspects of the software development life cycle (business analysis, gathering user requirements, estimating, writing technical documentation, software development); maintain and support the software already implemented; and help to resolve product support issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • To deliver software enhancements to clients specifications including requirement gathering, estimating & development
  • To carry out ongoing client support and maintenance work for both Zolv WTP and legacy products including the resolution of bug reports and support calls
  • To ensure that all development is test-driven and solutions are coded and tested in line with company standards
  • To communicate with clients as necessary throughout the project lifecycle
  • Although you will be working within a team, we require you to make an impact immediately and manage your time accordingly to deliver results as required
  • To become an expert user on our products, gaining an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses
  • To champion customer issues for resolution to ensure they have a positive experience
  • To ensure deliverables are released on time, to specification and to the highest possible quality
  • To provide product training as required for project stakeholders – both internal and external

Required Skills

Applicants MUST be eligible to work full time in the UK.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate (with examples):

  • Commercial experience in both ASP.NET MVC and C# development within a multi client & multi project environment
  • Browser development experience; Javascript, JSON, Ajax, and JS frameworks & libraries (preferably JQuery based)
  • Experience of working with 3rd party APIs and from 3rd party API documentation
  • Full software development lifecycle exposure

Plus any two of the following;

  • Commercial development experience involving XML & web services, including integration with 3rd party web services
  • Commercial database development with one or more of; MS SQLServer/MySql/MongoDB
  • Experience of developing apps for/integration with, Salesforce.com or other commercial CRM or third party solution
  • Commercial experience of leading edge and Alt.Net tools and methodologies, such as Castle (Windsor, Dynamic Proxy, IOC etc), NHibernate, Lucene, MVC, Distributed cache (memcache, Velocity etc), NUnit, Rhino Mocks
  • 1 years experience developing or integrating with a major travel platform (Multicom, Comtec, Galileo, Sabre etc)
  • Experience of developing for and deploying to MS Azure, AWS and/or other "cloud" environments.

You will be required to demonstrate your depth of knowledge at interview.

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge/experience of Agile development methodologies
  • Experience of continuous integration and unit testing or other testing methodologies
  • Experience of working with source control system(s), preferably Subversion

Salary

Market Rates – negotiable based on skills and experience
